Robert Battle has been artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater since 2011. His creative work is characterized by a dynamic energy coupled with a wonderful sense of form and inspired musicality. The clip below is from a master class that he taught at the School of Jacob’s Pillow in July of 2004. I had a wonderful time playing for him.
This is an excerpt from a piece that I did in collaboration with Mitlon Myers for Philadanco’s 35th anniversary concert at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. The music was composed and produced in my studio. The ballet was called A Bit of Kinship and Exoticism.
Pam Pribisco is one of the most intelligent artists I have ever met. Her teaching is a wonderful blend of humor, intuition, profound artistry and common sense. It is always a pleasure to work with her.
The passing of Tony Fabre in 2013 was a major loss for the world dance community. His work as teacher and choreographer embodied an extraordinary rhythmic clarity and beauty of line.
The following excerpts are from a class taught by Mr. Fabre at the School of Jacob’s Pillow in 2004 .

Milton Myers is a teacher and choreographer of world renown. I have had the pleasure of working with Milton as both accompanist and composer. These four clips, from classes at Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Traditions Program in 2004, show his sensitivity to music and his extraordinary ability to inspire those around him.
